Reliable On-Site Oxygen Production for a Trout Broodstock and Hatchery RAS Facility

Our partner ENEWO, an aquaculture engineering company specializing in the design and construction of recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), selected the Novair Oxyswing OS-48 oxygen generator for a trout broodstock and hatchery facility in Eastern Europe.

The facility is dedicated to the production of approximately 20 million fertilized trout eggs and 1.3 million trout fry annually, with fry raised up to a body weight of 50 g. Unlike a grow-out farm, the hatchery operates at an average stocking density of approximately 30 kg/m³ and requires precise control of dissolved oxygen throughout the most sensitive stages of reproduction and fry development.

Integrated into the RAS designed by ENEWO, the Novair Oxyswing OS-48 produces up to 15.5 Nm³/h of oxygen at 95% purity and 6 bar, providing oxygen on demand directly at the facility. Oxygen is injected into the water through oxygen cones, ensuring efficient oxygen transfer and stable dissolved oxygen levels throughout the system.

Thanks to this solution, the hatchery benefits from a reliable and continuous on-site oxygen supply while reducing its dependence on liquid oxygen deliveries and the associated logistics. The installation improves operational autonomy and contributes to consistent fish health and production performance.
